Vineyard: Vineyards of 15-20 years old where the soils are predominantly clay. Their capacity to retain water helps the plants in periods of extreme drought, as well as being cooler soils. This in conjunction with the altitude (650-700 metres) helps to stabilise the temperature to obtain the slow ripening that favours this variety.

Production: Harvest takes place in the middle of September. Malolactic fermentation on barrels and aging in oak for 6 months. Light filtration before bottling and further aging.

Tasting: Ruby red colour, dark and intense. Pleasing aromas of ripe fruit, evolving into deep aromas with notes of tobacco and chocolate due to the 6 months in barrel. In the mouth it is velvety, structured and full-bodied
